Captain Eli Buma accepted the position of firefighter at JCFD4 after serving as a student firefighter at Fire District 3 in White City. He started his career in firefighting June of 2014 at the Oregon Department of Forestry as a member of a severity crew. In September of 2014 Eli started as a Student Firefighter at Fire District 3, and the Fire Science program at Rogue Community College. Just Prior to finishing his degree, Eli was hired as a firefighter at Fire District 4.
Eli resides in Central Point, OR. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife Megan and their daughter, and fishing on the Rogue River, and hunting.
